North Myrtle Beach Memorial Day Weekend Mashup

Atlantic Beach Bike Rally & More Memorial Day Weekend Fun

"Home of the free, because of the brave."

Let us enjoy all the festivities, BBQ’s, and good times that this holiday weekend may bring; but never forget and take a moment for all the brave soldiers that have lost their lives making our lives possible.

We all love a good backyard barbecue

for a long three-day weekend but what if you’re wanting to do something a little bit more exciting? There are many options to choose from up and down the Grand Strand but not all events are worth the extra time and effort to fight traffic. If you’re going to leave the house then we had better make it worth it!

Atlantic Beach Bike Weekend

So, let’s start with the Atlantic Beach Bike Weekend. Up and down the Grand Strand through Atlantic Beach particularly, you will hear the bumble bee whir as crotch rockets and speed bikes flood the streets. The rally boasts some of the most vibrant outfits, vendors, and parties, leave the kids at home for some of that y’all! The rally runs all weekend with the heat of the event beginning on Friday and revving up on Saturday night. This historic event has been a part of the Grand Strand for forty years and is sure to entertain you with all the custom bikes that make an appearance all weekend.

Bike Scene Not Your Thing, Barefoot is the Place to Be

Not into bikes but want to get out and about with the family? A sure place to please is Barefoot Landing. There’s a multitude of unique shops for the hippy soul, fantastic brews from Crooked Hammock Brewery, morning Mimosas at Blueberry’s Grill. If you’re looking for a flavorful food experience any of the options are sure to entice you but the local brews at Crooked Hammock are particularly an honorable mention. The area also boasts live concerts and events outside at the Pepsi stage and on Friday night enjoy a great show as The Apron Strings play bluegrass and country music, sure to please your entire crew. You can also stop by Lulu’s and let the kids play a game of volleyball or climb in the kid’s playground directly across from the restaurant. After you have a good time make sure to stop at Wild Wing Café and sit on the back deck for a drink and a wing appetizer.
